F) Chris Thompson - Hip Hop, Afro-Caribbean Specialty:  Hip Hop & Afro-Caribbean     Background:  Chris Thompson joins the academy as a hip hop instructor. Dancer, choreographer and drummer-As the founder of Chris Thompson and the Cultural Ensemble, Chris does it all. A renowned dance instructor and choreographer, he has been a professional dancer for over 20 years. His dance style is described as an Urban Jazz Style with African influences. Chris has toured and performed in 38 states and internationally. He has attended a number of prestigious schools including the Tilman School of the Arts, North Carolina School of the Arts and Southern Methodist University. Chris is a former student of Chuck Davis, Baba Olatunji, Twyla Tharp, Cleo Parker Robinson and many others providing him a solid dance background.
