Background:  Elizabeth began her dance career at Albemarle Academy of Dance at the age of three, where she performed in a variety of AAD/City Youth Ballet productions. At the age of eight she became a member of the AAD competition team and Children's Playtime Theatre. Elizabeth has also studied dance at the Charlotte School of Ballet, Weir Dancin’ of Matthews, and the Piedmont Dance Conservatory in Kannapolis, North Carolina. She has received scholarships and participated in a variety of dance summer activities, such as: The American Dance Festival, Limon Summer Workshop, technique classes at The Place aka the London Contemporary Dance School, and most recently she has participated in the Methodist Liturgical Dance Workshop in Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. This summer she choreographed with members of the Bill T. Jones Company in a workshop known as “Thinking, Making, Doing Together” at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Elizabeth has recently graduated from University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in dance. Since graduation she has returned to her home town of Norwood, North Carolina with current plans of continuing to teach at Albemarle Academy of Dance, along with the launch of a liturgical dance program at her local church, Norwood United Methodist.
