| Background: |
Mrs. Lori began studying dance at age 3 in Jacksonville, Fl. At age nine, she was invited to be a member of the Ballet Guild of Jacksonville and performed the lead role in many productions. She supplemented her studies with several intensive sessions in NYC. Lori served as master teacher and instructor in Jacksonville until her first move to Charlotte where she began teaching for the oldest dance school in Charlotte, Fran Sullivans School of Dance. There Lori taught ballet, tap, jazz and acrobatics for twenty-two years.
When her husband was transferred to Sparks, Nevada, she quickly found a teaching position with Dance Works where she taught ballet, tap, acro and adagio and as choreographer for their national award winning competition company. In 2007, the Pinkerton Ballet in Carson City, Nevada invited her to teach master classes in Adagio for their company members as well as serve as assistant choreographer for their Nutcracker production.
Lori is certified with honors in ballet through Chechetti and certified in Tap and Acrobatics through Dance Masters of America. Lori now resides in Albemarle with her husband and five children.
Now that Lori and her family have moved back east, she is happy to be part of the AAD family.
