The AAD competition team had a great first competition and workshop! The dancers attended two days of classes, competed in forty-two numbers and participated in a broadway-style audition.
Mrs. Leigh was awarded the 'best studio director' award by Access Broadway. This award was based on the training, technical ability and professionalism of the AAD students during competition and master classes.
Mr. Greyson's tap piece 'Give it to Me' was nominted for best choreography.
Audition Results:
Approximately sixty dancers participated in a broadway-style audition with material taught from broadway dancers and master instructors. Ten winners were selected with seven being AAD students. Hank Vanhoy, Gabriel Gill, Jonas Roush, Mattie Badgett, Brooke Armstrong, Nikki Whitley and Cassidy Stoner were named as audition winners and received full scholarships to an Access Broadway master class workshop.
