| City Youth Ballet -
2010 Nutcracker Auditions |
|
AAD is proud to be the official school of the City Youth Ballet. CYB will be holding auditions for The Nutcracker on Saturday, September 18. Check our website soon for more information.
Anyone, ages 6 through adult, is encouraged to audition and be a part of this great holiday tradition.

| Yoga |

Miss Jessy is offering yoga at both the Albemarle & Locust studios in the 10/11 session.
Two classes are now available and more are being added.
These classes are open to anyone. There are drop-in rates as well as discounted monthly rates available.

Parents will be invited to view the last fifteen minutes of your child's class the week of August 9 - 13.

| Ballet - Pointe Intensive |
 Ms Daphne will be offering a 3-day ballet intensive August 27-29. This intensive will be for beginning, intermediate & advanced pointe students. This intensive will give pointe students a head start on the upcoming year and allow teachers to focus each student's needs, as well as putting them on a training plan for the new year.
Friday, Aug 27:
3:00-5:00 - beg/int pointe
5:00-7:30 - int/adv pointe
Sat, Aug 28 - Sun., Aug 29:
12:30- 2:30- beg/int pointe
2:30-5:00 - int/ adv pointe
Prices:
Beg/int - $120.00
Int/Adv - $135.00

New Class Times
Our staff has spent the last several weeks 'tweeking' our classes for the fall session. Some adjustments have been made in order insure that every student is in the most appropriate classes and levels. For this reason, some classes were split or lengthened and this resulted in a few slight time changes. Miss Jessy has been contacting those of you that have been affected by these changes; However, we ask that you please double check your class times. Open House, Registration & Dancewear Fitting
Albemarle Studio - Thursday, Aug 12
4pm-7pm
Locust Studio -
Friday, Aug 13
4pm-7pm
If you need to purchase dancewear for the upcoming year, please attend our fitting date or contact us to place your order prior to August 15th so that you may pick up your order before the first week of class. We will not be selling dancewear the first week of classes! Please remember that there is a dress code and color requirement for each class. If you are unsure of the items needed for your class, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
This will be our final registration for the 10/11 session. We suggest registering before this date via phone or website because most of our classes are at capacity or have very limited space available. |

All semester and yearly payments are due BY September 1, 2010. Any payments made after this date will not receive the included discount. Students with unpaid accounts after this date will be moved from the active roster to the waiting list for their classes until payment is received.

Congratulations
We are very proud of Jesse Springer, AAD teacher and former student is now a principal dancer with the Balasole Dance Company in New York City. Her first performance will be at the Alvin Ailey Theatre August 5 & 6. She will be back and forth between home and NYC and will continue to offer classes at the Albemarle studio when she's available.
